  • At Risen Studio Ltd we value your privacy and the importance of safeguarding your data. This Privacy Policy describes our practices for the activities set out below. We explain how we collect, store, access, and otherwise process information relating to individuals. In this Policy, personal data means any information that alone or in combination with other information can identify an individual.

    We are committed to protecting your privacy in line with strong privacy regulation. We primarily comply with the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. Where relevant, we also align with comparable international standards, for example the EU GDPR. If you are located outside the United Kingdom we will honour any rights and obligations that apply to you under your local law.

    This Policy applies to the Risen Studio website, domains, applications, services, and products that link to it.

     

    This Policy does not apply to third-party applications, websites, products, services or platforms that may be accessed through links we provide. These sites are owned and operated independently and have their own privacy practices. Any personal data you provide to those sites will be governed by their privacy policy.

    When you make an enquiry, start a project, or purchase services, we may collect the following types of personal data.

    • Payment and billing information, such as billing address and transaction details

    • Content you provide, for example, messages, briefs, files, testimonials, or survey responses

    We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data. If you choose to share sensitive information, we will only process it with your clear consent or where the law otherwise allows.

    How do we collect your personal data?
    From you. You provide data when you fill in forms, request information, purchase services, create an account, subscribe to updates, register for events, or contact us by email, phone, or social media.

    Third parties. We may receive personal data from analytics providers, advertising platforms, payment processors, scheduling tools, recruitment platforms, public sources such as LinkedIn and Companies House, and partners who help us operate our business.

    If you provide personal data about another person, you confirm that you have the authority to do so and you direct us to process it according to this Policy.

    Purpose and legal basis
    We use your personal data to provide and improve our services and to operate our business. Our legal bases are contract, legal obligation, consent where required, and legitimate interests that are balanced and fair. Examples include delivering projects, responding to enquiries, sending updates you have requested, improving our site and services, security and fraud prevention, and recruitment.

    Third-party tools
    We use reputable tools to operate our business and store information, for example, website hosting, analytics such as Google Analytics, advertising pixels such as Meta and LinkedIn, customer relationship and email platforms such as HubSpot or similar, forms and research tools such as Typeform, and experience tools such as Hotjar. The exact tools may change over time and are bound by appropriate data-processing terms.

    International data transfer and storage
    Your data may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we use recognised safeguards, for example, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, so that your data continues to be protected.

    Sharing and disclosure
    We share personal data only when necessary. This includes service providers who host our systems or help us deliver services, professional advisers, authorities where required by law, and potential buyers in the event of a business transaction. We do not sell personal data.

Client and project records are typically retained for six years after completion. Marketing data is kept until you withdraw consent or unsubscribe. When data is no longer needed we securely delete it or anonymise it.

  • If Risen Studio takes part in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, personal data may be transferred to the new entity. Your data will continue to be protected consistent with this Policy and applicable law. Where required, you will be notified of any material change.

  • We use appropriate organisational and technical measures to protect personal data. These include secure hosting, encryption in transit, access controls, least privilege, staff confidentiality, and vendor due diligence. Access to your data is limited to people who need it for legitimate business reasons. If a personal data breach occurs that poses a risk to you we will notify you and the Information Commissioner’s Office where the law requires.
